Out on point of the mountain, feeling very.... exposed. Not as much danger, I was at the edge of the cloud, and most of the electrical activity was on the far side of Provo and at Timpanogous Mountain

Holy hell, I've admired this for days. There is just something very brilliant about it. Even though I suppose it must've been scary...?

The colours and overall everything is amazing.

Thank you, yes it was scary even being on the edge of the storm. But the closest the lighting got was 5 or so km on the other side of the mountain. Most of the strikes were at the far end of the lake and I was 10 km from the north end of the lake. This particular strike probably was in my city and that was about 30 km. Close enough for a thrill but far enough to be some what safe.

wow, I remember that storm! And you were on a mountain for it?! But, what an awesome shot you got here! I absolutely love lightning, and I just can't get over how cool this is, with all the little lights down in the city... it kinda gives you a sense of scale.
 Awesome photo

I didn't know you were in Utah! Yes I was on point of the mountian, up where all those hang gliders take off.

Yeah, just goin' to school. I've seen one spot with hang gliders, but I dunno if it's the same one :D

Sweet, I'm going to UVSC. I can't think of any other places with enough wind and a nice high flat spot. Its up above that rock quarry on the way to salt lake.
